The basic difference in machinery as compared to cane sugar factory is that beet requires washing, slicing and diffusion technique for extraction of juice as against the leveller, fibrizer and milling in case of cane. Further clarification process required for diffused beet juice is exclusively double carbonation.

Evaporation, crystallisation and centrifugation operations are similar to cane sugar factory and could be done with common machinery in case of dual processing type factory.

Beet crop requires 5-6 months for maturity. The average sugar content 16-17 % with sugar recovery of 12.0 to 13.0%. The average yield is about 50 Tons/hectare.

The beet processing requires alternative fuel such as Bagasse, Coal, Oil, Natural gas etc. The steam consumption of such factory is in the range of 35 to 36% with high pressure evaporation technique as beet juice contains very little quantity of R.S.

Based on the long experience in this field and series of benefits gained with TRPF, we had designed 3-roller Mill with 2 rollers of TRPF. Our Mills are healthy and have many features unavailable in other Mills. Low power consumption and least apex angle with short pressure chutes are our main design features.

These pinch rolls are used between roughing mill and intermediate finishing mill to carry the hot rolled material, to rotary shear conveyors. The salient features of our pinch rolls are that they are compact and simple design, they ensure quick roll changing and they require minimum maintenance. Size ranges from 200 mm PCD to 300 mm PCD.
