We offer a wide range of rheostats that have a variable resistance and are available with different specifications. Apart from this they are widely applicable for loading transformer, power generator and supply main.
Ex - 236 Elson Slide Wire Rheostats:
The elson slide wire rheostats that we offer are wounded closely with highly oxidized Eureka wire on an installed heat resistant pore clam pipe held with the help of two bake lite or aluminum molded nicely painted leg supports.
A laminated phosphor bronze smooth brush is carried by the slider and contracts slides on a brass nickel plated rod. Three brass/4 mm socket terminals are also provided with these slide wire rheostats. One terminal is connected to brass slide rod whereas the other two to the two ends of wound wire through nickel plated brass strip clamps.
Warning: Since these rheostats are open type introspected rheostats, they must not be used on current exceeding 50 Volts Tube dia 4.4 cm.
a) Slide Wire Rheostats:-
1) The Slide wire Rehostates is made with variety of resistance and carrying so as to satisfy every need wires are heavily oxidized to provide perfect insulation, It has a non inductive core and as the core is non magnetic, magneticeffects are reduced by more than 90 percent.
2) Rehostates are made in several sizes varying from 6” to 20”
b) Standard Grooved Type Rheostats:-
Rheostats Grooved type wound with Eureka wires on 5.6 cm dia tube in grooves to avoid loosening of wire. Brushes of hard laminated Brass and Phosphorous Bronze Strips Finished in tilden gray and bright chrome.
c) Rheostats (Nichrome Wire):-
(Grooved 'DICA' wound with Nichrome Wire on 5.6 cm. dia tube, most suitable for high current. Temperature rise 200ºC above room temparature, very useful for industries, Projects and Research Laboratories etc.
