Grade A : This is a top quality material with no defects. The fingerboards are 100% black natural ebony, straight grained, no splits.
Grade B : The fingerboards are not 100% black ebony. The wood will contain a little amount of stripes which will be stained in jet black color, little curved grains.
Grade C : This is a typical quality for China market who are making lot of student instruments. The fingerboard wood will contain stripes, splits etc and these fingerboards will be stained in black.
