These variable autotransformer are used for continuous control of A.C voltage such as A.C. current, D.C. voltage & current intensity of light & heat and speed of D.C. motors. In
our range of Variable auto transformer motorized we provide different
sweep time for the speed control through the gears. These are made
from 2 amps to 300 amps in single coil and above 300 amps with ganged
coil. We also make up to 60 amps both in air cooled and oil cooled
models where as above 60 amps in oil cooled models only. The normal
output range is 0 to 270 volt in single phase and 0 to 470 volt in
two and three phases.
In
addition, as per client’s specifications, we can also offer higher
output voltage with
various feature such as voltmeter, ammeter, motorization and

These are basically cooled, floor mounting construction, immersed in transformer oil, confirming to IS 335. Cores are rigidly mounted on non magnetic frame and high grade carbon brushes collect the current from side of the wingdings. Full variation of the output from 0 to max. value is available in one revolution (approximately 350°) of the handle.
Units are supplied without oil. Standard transformer oil is to be filled by the user at site.
Besides manual operation, these are also available in motor operated mode with shaft driven by a high torque low speed drive motor through a gear train. Time taken for one revolution is 15 seconds upto 100 Amp models & 30 second for above 100 amp models.
