We fabricate vertical type vacuum filters that are open from the top. The grid divides thee shell in two halves, where the top part retains cake and the bottom part collects liquid. This bottom part is attached with the vacuum pump. It has a filtering capacity of 10litres and above. Cylindrical and rectangular in shape, it is made of high grade Stainless Steel, M. S and is rubber lined.
Our pneumatic vacuum filters are suitable for fine filtration of coolants used in rolling and wire drawing. Totally automatic in operation they offer a fine filtration using lesser filter paper.
Working
Vacuum filter body is placed at elevated height on clean fluid tank. Sealed cavity under filter paper is extended till low fluid level in the tank. A blower evacuates this cavity continuously.
A conveyor belt in the vacuum filter supports filter paper. A transfer pump lets dirty fluid above the filter paper. Vacuum under the filter paper sucks the fluid through, letting the dirt remain on top. Dirt layer formed on the filter paper facilitates finer filtration. After the filter paper is choked, level rise above it is sensed by a float switch, starting conveyor drive.

Hydraulic Vacuum Filter
This filter is a tank with the conveyor running inside and the filter paper is placed below the conveyor. There are vacuum chambers below filter paper that are connected to the suction of the pump. The construction of vacuum chamber is that very high velocities are maintained to avoid any accumulation over the period. The pump creates the pressure difference across the filter paper. Further, the maximum pressure difference across the filter paper reaches up to -0.8 bar. I.e. 600mm of Hg. The paper moves with the help of sludge accumulated on the filter paper.

Our company manufactures hydraulic vacuum filters with perforated top. It is placed at the bottom of the tank, dirty coolant is let into this tank. The pump sucks the coolant through the filter paper laid on top of vacuum chamber, leaving dirt on the surface of the filter paper. The suction pump generates vacuum increasing the thickness of the dirt layer & hence achieves finer filtration. After the preset level of vacuum is reached, the working is broken temporarily by opening actuated by-pass valve. Part of dirt-laden filter paper is pulled out to be replaced by fresh filter paper. Dirt is dumped in a bin while dirty filter paper is wound on a shaft. We manufacture vacuum filters which use consumable filter paper for filtration. These vacuum filters can effectively handle viscous fluids up to 40 Cst. They require lesser space as dirty fluid tank and filter are together. They can easily be designed to handle much larger flows & dirt quantities.
