The MCE-12F plus (12 steps) power factor controller measures cos ö in the system and regulates the automatic connection and disconnection of the capacitors depending on the required cos ö. MCE-12F plus is specially designed to control equipments with static switches based on thyristors, which operate through a zero step controller.

These DC thyristor drives
are operated by AC supply and feature a full wave Thyristor /Diode
bridge, firing circuit and control amplifiers to provide controlled
armature voltage for DC motors. For achieving the armature voltage
control, armature feedback voltage is compared with set DC reference
and ramp signal. After due attention of armature current signal, it
can be used for controlling the triggering of thyristors. Adjustment
of the triggering point of signal, gives either an increase or
decrease in thyristor output and hence a corresponding change in
motor speed.
