The assessment of snap attachment strength is an important criterion especially in the design and manufacturer of garments of infants' and children wear. The measurement of an uniform force applied to the snap attachment shall be recorded by means of a force-measuring device (in this case a Calibrated Imada Push/Pull Scale is utilized). Once the appropriate force is registered on the Imada Scale, a stopclock is used for recording a set period of time.
To define the garments manufacturer responsibilities and duties to ensure that snaps are applied appropriately to all garments. To prevent separation between the snap and the garment, which represents a dangerous situation if the loose snap is swallowed.

The Launderometer/ Washometer - II -For AATCC is a color testing textile machinery used for determining colour fastness of textile materials to washings. This is attained by mechanical agitating a specimen of textile in contact with pieces of specified adjacent fabrics in a soap-soda solution, before being rinsed and dried. The change in colour of the specimen and staining of the adjacent fabrics are assessed with standard gray scales.

Presto digital pilling tester consists of two wooden cubical boxes with inside surfaces lined with special standard cork sheet and outside surfaces beautifully laminated. These boxes are rotated about their central axis at a specified speed with the help of a geared motor. A Pre-set Digital Counter stops the motor automatically after the desired number of revolutions. This is a hydraulic, electrically operated unit, designed for conducting compression tests on concrete specimens up to 20 cm. Diameter (or width and depth) and 30 cm, in height and also rocks and various other materials. Cold Crushing Strength (CCS) test is also possible. The machine consists of a steel cross head and cast iron base with two pillars connecting the base and cross head by means of nuts. The hydraulic jack is fixed to the base. The upper platen has got a self aligning action and is attached to a screw which passes through the cross head and can be raised or lowered for initial clearance adjustment. The lower platen rests on the jack ram and is positioned with the help of a centering pin. Loading is accomplished by the upward movement of the lower platen. The motorised pumping unit is of plunger type and is connected to the jack by means of a steel connecting tube.

The perspiration test unit is used to determine color fastness to water and perspiration in textiles. Color fastness of dyed or printed fabrics, against perspiration, is determined by exposing the fabric sample to the action of both alkaline and acidic reagents, while in contact with un-dyed adjacent fabrics on both sides.

to light. This is done with the help of a 500 W Mercury Ballast
Tungsten Filament Lamp and internally phosphor coated. This light
fastness tester can be used for all types of textile textile with the
exception of photochromatic coloured textiles. To test the fabric or
textile the sample along with blue wool standards is bared in the
light coming from a MBTL fading Lamp. The fastness of the sample is
compared with that of 1 – 8 Blue Wool
