Disperse Dyestuffs are characterised with high degree of dispersion and are specially suitable for dyeing in various forms either alone or as a mixture with other fibres.
DYEING METHODS :
Disperse Dyes are applied to polyester fibres / fabrics by the following methods :
1. Carrier Dyeing at boil.
2. High temperature dyeing at 130°C.
3. Thermosol dyeing at 180-210°C. for 30-60 seconds.
Carrier Dyeing Method :
The following general recipe is recommended :
* X% Disperse Dyestuff
* 1 g/l Dispersing Agent
* Y g/l Carrier
* M:L:R 1:10
* pH adjusted to 5 with acetic acid.
Set the dyebath at 60°C. with dispersing agent and acetic acid to pH 5 and work the material for 10 minutes. Add emulsified carrier and treat the material for 10 minutes. Add dispersed Disperse Dyestuff and treat the material for 10 minutes at 60°C. and more...M. P. Shah Mumbai
