Presto Digital Tensile Testing Machines and yarn tension tester is for yarn, fabric & finished garments is based on the constant rate of traverse (CRT) principle. The sample is held between two jaws, the upper one is a stationary jaw while the other end is made to move at a known fixed speed with the help of motor, gear box and lead screw arrangement (75mm or 300mm per minute). The load exerted on the stationary jaw is sensed by a sensor connected with load cell, which directly indicates the load in digital form in kgs. the elongation is digitally displayed. Semi-automatic Tensile Tester
As a new member in Textechno’s line of automatic and semi-automatic tensile testers, STATIGRAPH L combines the essential features of a tensile tester with excellent measuring accuracy and a very economic price.
It meets the needs of the q.c. departments in textile operations as well as many other industries. Various software options, clamps for different sample forms and force measurement up to 2.500 N ensure a wide range of application.

When developing this automatic tensile tester, special attention was given to the requirements which have to be met when testing coarse and high-tenacity yarns.
Thus the STATIMAT 4 has patented bollards located at both clamps which swing-in automatically to deflect the yarn. These bollards act as force-reducing cams to decrease the yarn tension in relation to the clamps and hence improve the clamping effect.
A patented accessory which is also novel is a rotary clamp which is located below the take-off clamp. Using the rotary clamp, a specific amount of twist can initially be inserted in the yarn length freshly introduced in the test section before the start of the tensile test. This method is preferably used for the testing of untwisted coarse filament yarns. In addition it opens up a new possibility for optimizing the twist in spun yarns.
As successor to the widely used FAFEGRAPH M tensile tester for single fibres, the FAFEGRAPH ME version represents a technical development of the well-tried basic concept with the external appearance of the FAFEGRAPH HR.
In conjunction with a compressed-air-operated and highly-effective clamp design, the - conventional - force-measuring device to 100 N enables tensile tests to be carried out without any problems on fibres of all types.
In addition tests of fibre bundles can be carried out using special clamps and accessories.
