The basic material is low density polyethylene. Polyethylene is a thermo-plastic material consisting of long chain hydrocarbon molecules. At elevated temperatures these molecules tend to move relative to one another so that the material becomes increasingly deformable and will eventually melt at a temperature around 110°C.
By means of process similar to the vulcanization of rubber the PE molecules can be cross linked. The process of cross-linking or vulcanization consists of producing chemical bonds at intervals between the long moleculer chain to give a "LADDER" effect, which prevents slippage between molecules. An aerial terminal for telecommunication cables characterized by its construction which includes a substantially weathertight chamber for receiving a segment of the telecommunication cable and permitting individual wire pairs to be separated therefrom. This chamber is known as the splicing housing. Ajanta telephone cables are processed by high-speed state-of-the-art machinery. The conductor is made of pure electrolytic grade, super annealed, tinned copper and is insulated with good quality PVC. The cores are carefully twisted together with suitable lays and bunched together such that the cross talk is reduced. Also the cores may be helically wrapped with Myler or Polyester tape. Our range of PLB HDPE Duct consists of 2 concentric layers, the outer layer being HDPE, co extruded with an inner layer of solid silicone permanent lubricant to reduce the internal coefficient of fraction (ICF). The ducts are also manufactured in homogeneous construction with inside layer containing smooth lubricants for easy and convenient pulling of cables. Alternatively the duct can be of a homogeneous construction without a separate inner layer.
The ducts are prominently marked with indelible ink at intervals of every meter to enable identification of the pipe. We mention various details like manufacturers name, size of the duct, serial number, date of manufacturer, sequential length marking at every meter, buyer’s identification and logo that eases the identification and delivery.
