Smoke Detector
One of the fire alarm systems, smoke detectors warn about fire hazards in case fire is detected on the premises where they are installed. Our detectors come in a wide range of variety depending on their sensing techniques such as Conventional Beam type, Photo- electric(Optical), Ionization smoke detectors and we also have Conventional Rate of Rise & Fixed temperature type Heat Detectors. There are many more types available with us such as Addressable Beam type, Photo-electric (Optical), Ionization smoke detectors, Addressable Rate of Rise & Fixed temperature type Heat Detectors and Photo Thermal Detectors which are also used in some special purpose applications.
Smoke detector offered by us responds to smoke and have an ionization chamber inside. The ionization chamber will generate a constant, small electric current and as the smoke enters this detector, the smoke particles fix to the ions within the chamber and neutralize them. Optical smoke detectors incorporate a pulsing LED located in a chamber within the housing of the detector. The chamber is designed to exclude light from any external source. At an angle to the LED is a photo-diode which normally does not register the column of light emitted by the LED. In the event of smoke from a fire entering the chamber, the light pulse from the LED will be scattered and hence registered by the photo-diode.
