The Generic Holograms are supplied in sheet form suitable for manual application. Each Sheet is serially numbered for proper accountability of the holograms. There is no gap required between two hologram for square hologram with sharp edge corners, but a gap of 3 mm is required for circular and rounded corner holograms.

Once this label is affixed at the desired place, it is almost impossible to remove it intact. Any attempt to tamper with or to remove the hologram results in only the top (carrier) layer of the film separating from the holographic image. What is then left in the hand is a clear film, and the holographic image stays where the label was originally affixed. Any further attempts to still remove the hologram image intact will only result in defacing the hologram.

Dot-matrix hologram contain many two-dimensional (2D) dots with different grating orientations as well as pitches. These 2D effect on these dot matrix hologram depends on grating depths and dot sizes. Although ordinary noises are troublesome for 2D spots, noises caused by latest dot arrangement defects or special grating moiré fringes are useful in checking holograms.
