A perpetual feed of wet particulate material is dried in direct heat rotary dryers in the presence of hot air, while the particulate material transports along the interior of a rotary cylinder. The rotating shell acts as the conveying stirrer and device. Our rotary vacuum dryers are suitable for co-current (parallel) & counter-current operation. In the co-current operation, the wet materials are exposed to the hottest air. This is done to successfully make them heat sensitive or to dry-up the sticky materials. In the counter-current operations, to remove the moisture from the sticky materials, these materials are exposed in the hottest air.

Operating Principle
The wet feed which has free flowing granular form is made to work over the rotating bundle of heated tubes. Due to radiation and conduction effects,the moisture is evaporated and the product becomes progressively dry as it travels across the dryer and reaches final moisture level at the dischargepoint. Due to effective turbulence the solids are dried uniformly.

Principle
A peristaltic pump delivers liquid from the sample container to the 2 fluid nozzle mounted on the drying chamber. Compressed air from the inbuilt compressor is also supplied to the nozzle, resulting in atomization of the liquid into a fine spray.
Air from the blower is heated by an electrical air heater and blown through the drying chamber. Due to the large surface area, drying is very rapid, resulting in a sharp drop in temperature. The dry powder particles are separated from the air in the cyclone separator and collected in the glass collection bottle. The exhaust air is directed through a flexible SS hose into the atmosphere. A bag filter can be provided for secondary powder collection.

is fed continuously to the drying drum by means of feeding devices
adapted to suit the characteristics of the product. Scoops located at
the intake collect the material and convey to the drum internals. The
choice of internals to be installed will depend on the drying
characteristics of the product. In most cases internals are selected to
facilitate free flow, thus obtaining intensive convective heat and mass
transfer rate between the drying gases and the veil of the product
showering down. The alternative is to select internals that will
facilitate a rolling-down motion, in which case heat transfer is
effected primarily by contact between the product and the hot surfaces
of these internals.
