Resistance boxes are available for developing starting torque for motors for EOT Cranes, winches, rubber mills, conveyors, etc. Air cooled as well as oil cooled resistance boxes manufactured out of corrosion resistant nickel chromium alloy steels are available. The punched grid resistors are completely immune to shock and vibration. They function reliably under the worst operating conditions and are particularly suitable for steel mill duty. Wire grid resistance boxes can also be supplied. Apart from the application, motor rotor volts and rotor amps are necessary for designing the resistance boxes appropriately.

We offer a wide range of resistance boxes, which are designed and developed to meet the requirements of A.C. & D.C. These are used for speed control and develop start torque and find application in EOT cranes, winches, rubber mills, steel mills, coal mines, cement mills, power plants and others. Further, our range is developed as per BS 587:1957 guideline. Our products are suitable for maximum temperature rise of 375 degree C as per BS standards.
The range of resistance boxes we are offering is specifically designed for both A.C and D.C applications for speed controlling & developing higher starting torque. Our resistance boxes are designed as per BSS/VDE/NEMA/IEEE standards and can also design and manufacture as per standards specified by the customer. These resistance boxes are designed in a way that temperature rise should not be more than 375°C as stipulated in BSS specifications. The current rating generally ranges from 7 Amp's to 600 Amp's . The selection of the size of wire or strip or plate is based on the technical data of the motor on which the resistance box is to be connected. Higher ratings are also possible by using multiple parallel paths.
