McKINNON Disc Pulpers are used in wet processing plants to pulp ripe coffee fruit to parchment. The coffee is fed from large fruit tanks and the wet parchment is discharged into fermentation and washing tanks. The fruit skin is discharged into a pit for water recovery and recirculation.
McKINNON Disc Pulpers can be used for Arabica and Robusta varieties. They are made with One, Two, Three or Four Discs, according to the capacities required. The Single Disc Pulper can be manually operated with a short leg option . The Disc Pulpers can be configured with Rigid Chop or Flexible Chop option.
The pulping operation takes place between the rubbing action of the bulbs on the disc and the lateral pulping bars called chop rails.
