"Pretreatment systems are equipments used online/offline prior to printing to modify the molecular properties of a substrate thereby raising the dyne level of the material which ultimately results in good bonding of the ink with the material when printed."
The surface tension of any product is measured in dynes/cm. To attain optimum adhesion the dyne level of the material surface has to exceed the dyne level of the inks surface tension by at least 2 dynes. In order to increase the surface energy, the molecular structure of the surface has to be changed. For example, polypropylene (PP) or polyethylene (PE) has a surface tension of approx. 30 dynes and conventional inks typically have a surface tension of approx. 36 to 38 dynes. In order to get quality adhesion to PP or PE you need to raise the dyne level of that material to at least 38 to 40 dynes.
This can be done using gas flame treatment systems or carona systems.

Plate bending devices in which a workpiece is held between the forming die and the secondary clamp block of a plate and tube bending fixture. When the primary clamp block of the plate bending fixture is rotated to achieve a bending moment in the workpiece, the workpiece is bent until the primary clamp block revolves to a top point where rotation ceases and the workpiece is formed exactly into the expected angle of bend.
