Measurement Principles
The measurement is based upon the principal that when two immiscible liquids are mixed together one in a large quantity and the other comparatively in minute amount, (as water and oil in the case of processed oily water) and if this mixture is exposed to a beam of high intensity energy, then the secondary phase (oil in this case) will scatter part of the incident energy. The intensity of this scattered energy is proportional to the number of secondary phase particles. Over a limited range, graph of concentration v/s scattered energy can be considered to be a straight line.

H2O SOLUTIONS Demineralizers are designed based on latest cost effective ion exchange technique of counter current regeneration. The units consist of two corrosion free pressure vessels internally connected in series. The first column containing Cation absorbing exchanger and second column charged with an anion absorbing exchanger. The water flow through the bed of a Cation exchanger then the bed of an anion exchanger. Thus the systems remove dissolved salts from water to a specified degree.
After using total exchange capacity of systems Cation and anion regeneration must be carried out. The Cation exchanger is regenerated with an acid and anion exchange resin is regenerated with an alkali solution.

We design and manufacture special tray-type absorbers for acid regeneration plants. The spent acid containing chlorides of iron is oxidized in a fluidized bed reactor to produce iron oxide and HCl vapours. Whereas iron oxide is a useful bye-product, the HCl is absorbed in stoichiometric quantities of water to obtain 17 to 20% hydrochloric acid and reused for pickling. Finally the gases are passed through columns to limit emissions within pollution control limits.
