Input can be hollow, for any input shaft of Spline or key way fitted to standard and reputed motors. You can also have male input shaft with spine or key shaft. You can arrange stages to get desired ratio and torque. Out put can be geared, male spline or key, or female spline or key.

Planetary gear box has got modular construction and its every single stage consists of one internal gear meshing with three or four planet gears mounted on planet carrier. The planet carrier is connected to the output shaft of the gear unit. The design feature employed with the sun gear floating amongst the planet gears together with accurate machining of parts,grants uniform load distribution among the planet gears.
The material used is low carbon nickel chrome and molybdenum alloy steel for gears and high carbon steel for shafts. Casings are made up of graded cast iron or cast steel as necessary to withstand the loads on the output shaft. Planet gears run on needle bearings while deep grove ball bearing or roller bearings are used on drive shafts.
