This is a circular published in the interest of all our customers worldwide to caution them that for production of medical / hospital oxygen from the oxygen plant, it is very necessary that the main equipment i.e. the air separation plant,where the actual separation/distillation of oxygen and nitrogen takes place from air consisting of many trays should be made of cryogenic grade stainless steel column with temperature as low as -190 degC below zero. This is extreme coldtemperature which is known as cryogenic temperature and ordinary materials like copper, brass and ordinary steel the properties changed and there is a reaction between copper and oxygen and other impurities. Our Nitrogen Plant/Generator operating on PSA technology, consists of twin tower system filled with special grade of carbon molecular sieves (C.M.S). At a time, one tower keeps in production cycle and other in regeneration cycle. When compressed air passed through C.M.S. bed, the molecules of oxygen, moisture & other unwanted gases are adsorbed on surface of C.M.S. And the nitrogen which is not adsorbed by C.M.S comes out of adsorption tower and is collected in a surge vessel. For continuous generation of nitrogen, two adsorption towers are provided which are interconnected with auto change over valves controlled by a sequence programmer. When one tower saturates with oxygen the process automatically changes over to another tower and thus the nitrogen production is continuous.

1. Air Compressor-Low Pressure:
Air is compressed at a low pressure of 5-7 bar (0.5-0.7mpa). Air can be compressed at such low pressure by trouble free rotary compressor (Screw / Centrifugal Type advanced technology is employed in lieu of old bulky piston compressor).
2. Pre Cooling System:
The second stage of the process uses a low pressure refrigerant for pre-cooling the processed air to temperature around 12 deg C before it enters the purifier.
3. Purification of Air by Purifier:
The air enters a purifier consisting of twin Molecular Sieve driers, working alternatively. The Molecular Sieves remove the Carbon dioxide & moisture from the process air before the air enters Air Separation Unit.
4. Cryogenic Cooling of Air by Turbo (Expander):

NITROGEN GAS GENERATION :- The main ingredient of Nitrogen Plant is CMS
(CARBON MOLECULER SIEVE) and CMS is having indefinite pores on the
surface, which adsorb the molecules of Oxygen, Moisture and Unwanted
gases from compressed air. Nitrogen gas, which is not adsorbed into the
surface of CMS comes out from adsorbed tower and collects in the surge
