Every Textile material irrespective of their form (i.e., Fiber, Yarn, Fabric) contain water, which is expressed in terms of moisture percentage. Wool has got the highest moisture content and synthetic fibers contains the lowest moisture content.
Digital Moisture Meter measures moisture by sensing the electrical resistance of the hygroscopic material. The sensing can be done with one of the three type of electrodes. The section of sensor depends upon the form of the material. Pin type sensors can be used for loose cotton materials cones, cheese. Flat type of sensors can be used for fabric for web. Rollers can be used for fabric or yarn or web running on the machine. The long electrodes are made specially for cotton bales or such application.

Speedy Moisture Meter or Speedy Moisture Tester is used in different industries to measure the moisture content of materials including soils, aggregates, concrete, sand and powders.
For the measurement of moisture content a small sample of the material is prepared, weighed and placed into the vessel. A reagent is then added and the vessel is sealed and shaken to mix the reagent with the sample. The free moisture then reacts with the reagent and produces a gas. As a result, the pressure within the vessel rises, which is proportional to the amount of moisture. Subsequently, the value of the moisture content is directly noted from the calibrated pressure gauge.

For quick determination of moisture content of materials in powder form viz. soil, sand, coal, pottery slip, cement etc. Calcium Carbide when comes in contact with moisture acetylene gas in generate. This principle is used in Rapid Moisture Meter. A weighted quantity of sample is mixed with fixed quantity of Calcium Carbide reagent and the whole mixture is thoroughly skaken in a vessel to which a pressure gauge is fixed. The acetylene gas produced developes pressure and pressure gauge is cablibrated to read percentage moisture. The instrument indicates moisture on wet/weight BLS easily convertible to dry weight basis.
Our speedy moisture meter are used for determining percentage moisture content on the wet weight basis up to 25% which is equal to 33.3% moisture content on the dry weight basis. Same as above but 0-50% moisture meter also available. These are completely polished in wood and carry case with handle.
