While C-TRU does offer a comprehensive line of cast strainers, sometimes, because of space limitations, the need for a special alloy, unique piping connection, cover operating system or size, a custom strainer is required. pressure as higher flow area is provided through screen ZED “Y”
type strainers remove the foreign particles from the following
liquids, air, steam and gases by means of perforated or wire mesh
straining element. The strainer improves the clearance in the medium
and prolongs the life of valves, protect expensive pumps, instruments
and other equipments.

“Y” type strainers can be installed either in horizontal or
vertical position. However, in both the cases, the screening element
should be kept the “down side” of the strainer body so that the
suspended particles can be properly collected. These strainers are
available with drain plug which can be replaced with Ball Valve for
