A variety of flow rates & solid loading can be successfully handled and managed with the help of Pressure Nutsche Filters. These filters can be designed for pressures up to 300 psi (2068 kPa) or full vacuum. For opening and closing the vertical pressure leaf filter it is provided with eye bolts and devit and devit arm for the rotatable arrangement. There is no need to open the lid during the discharge of the cake, as the pneumatic vibrator system is provided on the top of leaf filters to dislodge the cake.

Horizontal Rotary Pressure Leaf Filter (HRPLF)
This equipment consist of horizontal cylindrical vessel dished on both ends, having fixed head and retractable shell, both are coupled by locking arrangement. Filter leaves are mounted on centrally located rotating common manifold. After the filtration batch is over, hold up slurry can be drained out and filter leaves are rotated at slow speed, while hot water / clear slurry can be sprayed through the spray nozzles over the filtration surface to dislodge cake. Conveyer at the bottom passes the thick slurry along with cake to the drain. This called slurry cake discharge. Wet cake discharge also possible with scraper assemblies.
This way cake can be dislodged without opening the filter.
Closed and compact operation, the operation can be totally automatic. The lid gaskets, ‘O’ Rings can be provided with Neoprene/Nitrile/EPDM/Viton/Silicon/PTFE Seals.

WORKING OF PLF Oil slurry is fed to PLF through nozzle(H ), slowly fills up the entire volume of PLF and slight pressure builds up and oil starts coming from the outlet nozzle(G) which is visible from the sight glass shown. Oil to be kept in circulation till the time it is crystal clear when clarity is their oil is diverted to finished tank through polish filters (optional). After some time when leaves reaches its saturation point (depends on filtration area), pressure builds up inside the PLF which can be seen from pressure gauge(B) mounted. At this point filtration rate will decrease its time to regenerate leaves, stop the feed to PLF and slowly open the steam inlet(J) valve slightly. Clear oil will continue to come out. Divert the outlet to slope oil tank when cloudy oil starts coming from outlet nozzles. When the pure steam comes from outlet(J), divert it to cyclone. Now open the steam valve(J) fully and remain it to run for 40-45 more...
