The thermometer has a 5-7 mm diameter with appropriate length. It has reinforced bulbs in card board case. The thermometer deliver results with a ± 1° of accuracy.

PLATINUM RESISTANCE THERMOMETER For showing the principles of platinum resistance thermometry and for accurate temperature measurement using a bridge method such as ‘Cary-Foster’ bridge. The thermometer comprises a length of fine platinum wire of about 2 ohms resistance, wound non-inductively on a mica frame and soldered to stout copper leads. A pare of compensating leads are provided, all four leads being connected to 4 mm, socket terminals.
