The valves are regularly used for Applicatios to handle powder such as coal handling, ash handling, dry and wet powder handling in power houses, pneumatic conveying systems, dust collecting systems and material handling equipments.
For liquid slurries and fibre applications with low-allowable leakage the valves are most coomonly used. Pneumatic, Manual, Gear and hydrulic equipment device are provided for operation of the valves. For elevated mounting, chain driven valves are also provided. These are specially designed uni-directional knife gate valves for use in pulverized coal mills in coal-fired thermal power plants. Design features a full port bore which is typically hardfaced to stand the highly erosive flow of pneumatically conveyed fine coal to the boiler. As these are used in the coal mills, the valves are designed to comply to the requirements of the NFPA-85 (2001) standard.
