Natural moulding sand contains variable amount of clay, which acts as bond between the sand grains. This sand, therefore, posse strength, plasticity and refractoriness to varying extend depending upon the clay minerals present. When it contains a greater amount of clay, it is blended with river sand, which is relatively clay free so as to get the optimum properties desired in the sand mixture.
Washed grains shall be mostly sub-angular to rounded shape. As far as possible, the sand shall be free from gravel. Natural moulding sand for use in foundries shall be of three main grades, namely, A, B and C with respect to clay content.

Bentonite is a naturally formed volcanic material that is mined for commercial use around the world. The main constituent, which is the determinant factor in the clay's properties, is the clay mineral montmorillonite. Bentonite is electrostatic, meaning that it naturally has an electric charge. Hence, Bentonite is used in a number of industrial cleansing applications due to its excellent absorption and adsorption properties.

- Extracted bentonite is distinctly solid, even with a moisture content of approximately 30%.

Calcite powder offered by us are widely used as mineral fillers in order to obtain a high humidity retention, to improve the consistency and dryness of the final mass. Furthermore, they do not alter neither the physical nor the chemical properties of soap products, nor the viscosity of the mix. They help to improve the cleaning action of soaps and detergents due to an adequate grade of abrasiveness. It is not retained by the textile fibers since they do not contain silica in a free stage and hence not cause damage to the fabrics.. They are also used as secondary pigments.
Dead-burned dolomite is produced when dolomite is calcined at very high temperatures. It is used both as a refractory product in granular form to repair linings and for making the bricks used in the refractory linings of casting ladles and cement kilns. In the steel refining process, the use of dolime instead of pure quicklime will extend the life of refractory linings. In fact, adding dolime will create MgO in solution in the slag, which provides an excellent buffering capacity as MgO particles in suspension provide excellent coating protection. Any excess MgO precipitates, protecting refractories and tap holes, reducing the need for gunning and repairs.

Slag perlite or Slagperl is used as a slag remover, It is also known as perlite ore-foundry flux. In application where slag perlite is introduced to the ladle during fill and after a heel of metal has been poured, it produces a gentle rolling action which cleans the metal by coagulating, impurities and floating them up to the slag layer. Repeated use increase ladle lining life by cleaning the walls and leaving a vitreous residual coating on the refractory. There are claims that Slagperl or slag perlite will also reduce the sulphur content of ferrous metal when added to the ladle during fill. It is probable that this is the result of the slag perlite collecting the products of desulfurization, raising them to the surface and holding them in the slag in such away that sulphur cannot readily re-enter the bath
