In electrolyzer, symmetrical conductive structure with anode in the middle and cathode at ends avoid the shortage of voltage. The improved sealing washer isolates hydrogen from oxygen used for many purposes. In this way, the separator, synthesizer, filter, cooler, cycling pump, tubes and valves are mounted on a skid for easy installation and transportation for smooth process.
This technique generates hydrogen gas through electrolysis (bipolar type) along with gas boosters and de-oxo units. When water is charged with electrical current, the electrolysis dissociates the elements of water (oxygen and hydrogen). In this connection, the amount of power consumed by these plants is 4.5 KW (per cubic meter of hydrogen).

Hydrogen is produced in the SGH series hydrogen gas generator by the most advanced electrolytic membrane technology. The application of voltage across the electrolyte results in hydrolysis, breaking down the water molecule into hydrogen and oxygen gas, which are separated by the gas permeable membrane. Once separated the hydrogen gas goes through a series of purification and moisture removal systems to achieve the desired level of purity while the oxygen gas is being discharged into the atmosphere. These are catalytic cracking units in which ammonia is dissociated to nitrogen and nitrogen. Commercial grade liquid ammonia from cylinders or tank is used as feedstock. The product gas has 75% hydrogen and 25% nitrogen. This gas is further purified in a molecular sieves unit by removing un-cracked ammonia and moisture. Purified gas is then used in Heat treatment furnaces like annealing, sintering and as reducing furnace atmosphere.
It is widely used in stainless steel and carbon steel bright annealing. Investment in such hydrogen gas generator is extremely low and also cost of hydrogen produced is very low. The cracking furnaces are electrically heated or fuel fired type.

Hydrogen can be produced by various methods and production through ammonia cracking is one of them. Where nitrogen is not an impurity, where hydrogen is to be used as a reducing atmosphere and where ammonia can be used as a raw material- there we offer a hydrogen plant based on ammonia cracking.
Ammonia is cracked in presence of nickel catalyst at approximately 850°C and we get a mixture of hydrogen and nitrogen in the same ratios as these constituents are present in ammonia i.e. H2 – 75% and N2– 25%.
