Hardness Tester

A fairly handy instrument for taking quick readings for the hardness of tablets. It is made of brass turned parts, heavily chrome plated, the scale is 0 to 20kg and the index mark and division is in 1 Kg reading. Scale adjustable for zero setting as per size of the tablets.

Test the hardness of water

The pNa is an easy-to-use and inexpensive instrument for
determining water hardness/softness. The hardness of water is
due to the presence of magnesium and calcium. These make
washing difficult, waste soap and create unpleasant scum and
scale deposits. With a zeolite system, the calcium and magnesium
ions are substituted on a one-to-one basis with sodium ions from
a conditioning resin. Once all the sodium ions are exhausted, the
resin has to be regenerated. This is currently determined by
estimating the volume of water that goes through the softener
and guessing when to change the resin!
Even though this may work in some cases, it fails in most since
the sodium content of feed water is never constant. As a result,
either the resin is regenerated too early and wastes resources, or too late, risking damage due to scaling. With the pNa, you can

ASIAN Indentation Hardness Tester for rubberized coir cushioning is used for the indentation hardness measurement of foam, PU foam, rubberized coir and latex foam. The system consists of a shear beam type load cell over which the test specimen is kept. The test specimen is pressed with an indentor of the specified dimension mounted on self/ aligning ball bearing such that it can adjust its inclination to match the top face of the test specimen. The indentor can be moved down manually through a hand wheel (as well as by motor and gear box) and screw arrangement, thickness is measured on strip scale and Compression is measured on a digital indicator and the corresponding load is measured on the digital readout of the load cell.
