The two types of Fume Extraction System are as follows -
(1) Continuous pickling lines of the closed type for strips and wires.
(2) Batch pickling lines of the open type for wire coils, straight tube bundles, automobile bodies (surface pretreatment prior to painting) etc.
Induced draft type fume extraction systems are adopted for the former and push-pull type systems are used for the latter. The surface treatment solutions could be hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid, nitric acid, chromic acid or any other at various concentrations and temperatures. The design of the system is aimed at protection of the operating personnel on the one side and protection of the environment by controlling emissions. FILTER-ON Centralized Welding Fume Extractor are ideal for chasis welding lines where a number of welding activities are carried out in a line one after other. Group of 4-5 stations can be connected with a common duct and a centralized system can be provided for tha same.
Also more stations can be clubbed up and customised systems are also offered as per clients requirements. These systems can be placed on an overhead platform and thus do not consume shoop floor space. Because of centralization the cost of installation is less than individual units.
FILTER-ON also offers integrated fume extraction and evaporative cooling system i.e. the system sucks away the fumes from the weld stations, filters it in high effeciency electrostatic filters, cools this filtered air in evapotrative cooler section and gives back this clean & cool air to the operator to ensure safety as well as comfort of the operators. This is one of the most unique systems offered by us.
We design and manufacture special tray-type absorbers for acid regeneration plants. The spent acid containing chlorides of iron is oxidized in a fluidized bed reactor to produce iron oxide and HCl vapours. Whereas iron oxide is a useful bye-product, the HCl is absorbed in stoichiometric quantities of water to obtain 17 to 20% hydrochloric acid and reused for pickling. Finally the gases are passed through columns to limit emissions within pollution control limits.
Localized fume extractors are used on welding booths or welding lines where the welding activity is generally carried out in booths or on some fixed fixtures. Here, the welding points are well defined. The suction hood arrangement is made to cover the welding points effectively or in some cases there is an exhaust opening provided on top of welding booth which is connected to fume extractor. Fumes are sucked from the booth and then filtered in Electrostatic precipitaotr to give out filtered, clean & healthy air from this unit. Main advantage of the system is total workstation along with fume extractor can be easily relocated from one place to other offering complete flexibility in plant layout. These systems are also using Electrostatic precipitator and also combine the advantage of centralization like cost cutting & centralized maintenance. Ideal for big machine shopa having a number of machines. All these machines can be joined with a common ducting and one centralized system can be put up in the shop which will take care of all the mist and smoke problems of all the connected machines.
With this approach the cost of installation and maintenance can be brought down without any compromise on filtration efficiency. Very useful in mainting smoke and mist free enviroment in machine shops as well as compliance with pollution control / EMS / ISO 14000 requirments.

Several toxic chemicals are used in the manufacturing of pharma products. Also they generate several highly toxic gases such as NH3, HCl, HF, NOx, SO2, Cl2, HBr, Br2, H2S, HCN, HCHO and other organic and inorganic gases. The emissions from the plant have also to be controlled. As the gases generated are of different types the solutions to be used for absorbing them will also be different. As it would be expensive to use many absorption systems, the reactors are grouped into two or more groups for the purpose of providing fume extraction systems. The systems cover everything from retractable fume hoods near reactors to protect personnel to final absorbers and stacks. Our engineers give total service from consultancy to commissioning including supply and erection.
