The Mihir Polacel XE cooling tower operates according to the crossflow principle. The hot water to be cooled is fed into a closed FRP distribution pan, having holes in the bottom to equally distribute water over the cooling tower PVC fill. By evaporation and direct contact the water transfers heat to the air which is sucked in by an axial fan. The cold water is collected in a FRP basin at the bottom of the tower for recirculation.
They are made of glassfibre polyester. It ensures long life and easy maintenance. A fan hood of glassfibre reinforced polyester ensures a smooth flow of the water-vapour saturated air towards the fan.
