contact which carry current during regular use.
For safety reasons,
some types also have an earth (Ground) contact to earth metal parts
of the appliance. Several plugs make no distinction between the live
and neutral contacts, and in some cases both current carrying
contacts may be live. The contacts may be brass or steel, and may be

They can accommodate wire gauges from 0 to 16 swg. The shells are made of Aluminum Alloy and the insulator is neoprene. Shells are cadmium plated with olive drab chromate finish.
