Drytech Mini Dryer is a compact having full features with fine filter combination and it is usefull for small capacity upto 20 CFM, where application requires dry compressed air.

Here the principle of operation is to use the available fuel (cobb) in the seed processing plant and provide economy in the operation. The cob dryers were designed for a capacity of 4.5 million Kcal per hour with a drying capacity of about 1600 tones of maize per cycle of 90 hrs.

Flash dryers are used for drying of wet cakes which are sensitive to heat. There are different variations of flash dryers available depending upon the need to disperse the wet cake or pastes. These are:

Since this process usually requires a long residence time, the length to diameter ratio is often in excess of 10:1. In most cases an oil or gas burner fires directly into the discharge end of the unit. The material is heated in three ways - by radiation from the burner flame, conduction from the refractory lining and convection by contact with the hot gases.

Heat Reactivated Type Air Dryers are used when one needs compressed air of very low Dew point of (-)60oC or (-)80o Deg C. In this design, the desiccant is regenerated at higher temperature, along with small quantity of Dry air purge. Due to purging with Dry air and thermal regeneration, residual moisture loading on desiccant becomes low and this gives very low Dew point. The Drying unit has 2-vessels filled with Activated Alumina or Molecular sieves desiccant. One vessel remains in drying cycle for 4 hours, while other vessel is simultaneously regenerated at atmospheric pressure. Around 3% flow of dryer capacity is used as purge for regeneration. Electrical heaters are provided in a central finned Stainless steel pipe in both drying vessels. Heating cycle is for 2 hours and in this time hot purge air increases desiccant temperature to around 100oC. At this temperature regeneration is complete (due to dry air purge). Spray Dryer
Spray drying is transformation of feed from a fluid state into dried particulate form by spraying the feed into a hot drying medium. It is a continuous particle-processing drying operation. The feed can be a solution, suspension, dispersion, emulsion or slip. The dried product can be in the form of powders, granules, or agglomerates depending upon the physical and chemical properties of the feed, the dryer design and final powder properties desired.

Feed is finely atomized and is introduced in the drying chamber along with hot air. The mixture of atomized feed and hot air moves towards the air exhaust of drying chamber. The time taken by this mixture to travel up to air exhaust is called as residence time of drying.
