PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION:
The feed stock is introduced into a single
or twin steam heated drum/s in a uniform film by use of variety of feeding devices and arrangements depending upon the material to be dried.The moisture is dried off in less than one revolution and the dried solid is removed usually in the form of a thin sheet/powder by doctor blade.

Operating Principle
Hot air at desired temprature and flow rate is made to flow through the tumbling bed of wet feed. The wet material gets progressively dried to the final level of desired moisture and exits at the discharge end. The humid air carrying moisture transferred from the drying material is exhausted via a dust separator.

Operating Principle
This drum dryer is basically a conduction dryer. Wet feed film (in liquid or paste form) is applied to the rotating metal cylinder inside which, a heating medium is supplied. Material film dries to the final moisture level and is scraped off.

Operating Principle
Feed in the form of melt is applied as a thin film over the rotating metal cylinder, internally cooled. The melt is solidified to a solid layer which is scraped out as flakes.

The system is employed for evaporation of water ; crystallization /separation of dissolved inorganic salts like Sodium Sulphate / Sodium Chloride / Manganese Sulphate etc.and drying of these solids. Additionally water is recovered making this system also a Zero Discharge System.
FILTRATION STAGE : Pre filtration of effluent stream to remove suspended solids. Pressure leaf filters ( PLF/CD ) with mechanised discharge are employed for this operation.
EVAPORATION STAGE : Multiple Effects Evaporator are used to get the required final concentration of liquid stream. Steam economy of high order is achieved because of use of Multiple Effect Evaporatos. Thermo Compressor is also employed to get additional steam economy. Operating Principle
Granular free flowing wet feed material is made to shower repeatedly in a cascade manner in a stream of hot air, when moisture gets transferred to the air, rendering the product progressively dry as it travels the length of the dryer cylinder provided with suitable lifters. The humid air is exhausted via a dust collection system to trap any fines escaping with the exhaust air.

Drying, Cooling, Composing, Maturing & Granulating. The wet feed
is fed continuously to the drying drum by means of feeding devices
adapted to suit the characteristics of the product. Scoops located at
the intake collect the material and convey to the drum internals. The
choice of internals to be installed will depend on the drying
characteristics of the product. In most cases internals are selected to
facilitate free flow, thus obtaining intensive convective heat and mass
transfer rate between the drying gases and the veil of the product
showering down. The alternative is to select internals that will
facilitate a rolling-down motion, in which case heat transfer is
effected primarily by contact between the product and the hot surfaces
of these internals.
Rotary coolers using air as cooling medium are very much like counter
