Working Principle :- The Pneuflex units are used as both clutches and brakes in general power transmission applications on all types of machinery. The primary feature of this design is the pneuflex torsional resilient principle made possible by the transmission of the power through sidewalls of the flexible rubber and cord actuating tube. Normally the brake will be in applied condition, due to the spring force on the brake arms. When the power supply is on, an electromagnetic force is developed in the coil, which pulls the plunger against the spring force. When the plunger is pulled, the spring is compressed and the brake arms move away from the drum thus releasing the brake.
