This is a device to separate solids (in powder or granular form) from air/gases. When the material is moving as in pneumatic conveying, the solids are separated. In this device, air is made to flow at cyclonic speed and made to rotate in a cylindrical vessel of suitable design. When the solid material attains high speed, it picks up centrifugal force and choose to cling to outer surface while air retains high speed it gets due to its velocity factor. Suddenly in the center, air outlet is provided for air to go out while due to centrifugal force the solid material is not able to change direction but goes downwards and gets separated.
This device is capable of offering separation efficiency up to 90%, of course, depending upon, design, material, bulk density etc. There is one collecting hopper where material gets collected. Smaller the diameter, better is the efficiency.

In this process, dust and debris are sucked in at the top that leads the heavy particles to the bottom thus making the air lighter to escape from the top.
We have designed quite cost-effective and highly efficient cyclone separators, that find their usage in dust collection. The unit basically consists of a cylindrical and a conical portion. Dust and debris are sucked in at the top. Air containing fine dust blows out of the other side of the top, while the chips and large dust particles fall out of the bottom into a drum or a bin. The unit makes use of the centrifugal force for the separation of the particles. The process leads the heavy particles to the bottom thus making the air lighter to escape from the top.
Cyclone Separators are ideal for separating dust with particle size greater than 5 um. It provides a very cost effective solution to the problems of dust collection, materials and for conveying bark and chips. The unit basically consists of a cylindrical and a conical portion. As the dust leaden air enters the inlet port, it spirals downwards in an outer vortex and comes out of the unit in an inner vortex. It uses centrifugal force for the separation of particles. Centrifugal action causes the air material to move around the inside walls of the cyclone, from where the material drops by force of gravity at the bottom leaving the air to escape through the top.

The cyclones manufactured at our unit have got tangential inlet, which provides a flow rotating movement to the gas and thereby the dust particles are driven towards the envelop surface where they are screwed down. Collection of dust in a cyclone separators is based on the action of inertial (centrifugal) forces upon dust particles.
Cyclone separators are normally used for the collection of coarse dust particles. The dusty air is introduced in the cyclone separator from the top through the inlet pipe which is tangential to the cylindrical portion of the cyclone. Thus the gases move downwards in whirling motion forming a peripheral vertex and giving rise to centrifugal forces, resulting in throwing of dust particles towards the wall of the cyclone and moving downwards into the hopper. The gases after reaching the end of the conical portion changes its direction and moves upwards towards the outlet forming an inner vertex. Due to this upward movement of gases against gravity more dust particles are separated and fall into the conical hopper for subsequent removal.

Cyclone Separator Series CS 2 is used for separating solid particles from the liquid. Clean liquid (about 80%) is sent to seal chamber and solid particles with very little liquid (about 20%) is sent back to suction of the pump.
