The Cam Index Drives is a technological marvel. Most automation in industry make use of this mechanism where in it converts continuous rotary input into intermittent, indexing output motion. The Globoidal cam is attached with input shaft. A predefined groove conforming to certain standard curve as modified Sine curve is generated on the circumference of the cam to a well defined limits. The cam follower unit which meshes with the groove is attached to the output shaft. Only constraint is that the input shaft axis and output shaft axis are perpendicular and do not intersect.
