The Drying unit has 2-vessels filled with Activated Alumina or Molecular sieves desiccant. One vessel remains in drying cycle for 4 hours, while other vessel simultaneously regenerates at atmospheric pressure. Around 3% flow of dryer capacity is used as purge for regeneration. Electrical heaters are provided in a central finned Stainless steel pipe in both drying vessels. Heating cycle is for 2 hours and in this time hot purge air increases desiccant temperature to around 100 degree C. At this temperature regeneration is complete (due to dry air purge). Dew point achieved is around (-) 40 degree C. If still lower Dew point is required, air purging rate is slightly increased to 5% for (-) 60 degree C and to 7.5% for (-) 80 degree C Dew point.

Manufacturer of Heat less Compressed Air Drying plant of various flow capacities and working pressure range to suit customers requirement for removing moisture from the compressed air. It works on absorption principle using activated alumina as desiccant (Drying Agent). The Regeneration of the activated alumina is done by purging a small quantity of dry air, fed back from outlet of the drier during fully automatic regeneration cycle. It consists of two nos. drying chambers, each works alternatively in absorption (drying) and regeneration cycle. WORKING PRINCIPLE:
Regenerative Desiccant Compressed Air Dryers are an economical process to reduce the moisture content of the compressed air to achieve the dew point as low as minus 80 deg C. The dry Compressed Air ( at consistent ) dew point is continuously achieved by using Twin Towers packed with desiccant. Our Heatless air dryer consisting of two towers filled with Activated Alumina and at a time one tower is under process and another tower is under regeneration simultaneously. Warm compressed air enters the Air / Air Heat Exchanger where it is precooled by outgoing cold dry air. Pre-cooling makes it possible to use a smaller (More Economical) refrigeration Unit, The pre-cooled air enters the Air to Freon Heat Exchanger where it is cooled down to +3°C. At this temperature, water condenses into liquid droplets, which are removed from the air stream by a very efficient Demister and automatically discharged by a Trident Automatic Drain Valve. The Cold dry compressed air passes back through the secondary side of the Air to Air Heat Exchanger where it is reheated by the incoming warm, air. Reheating the outgoing compressed air increases the volume of the air enabling it to do more work and it also prevents downstream pipe sweating. The Dryer is fully automatic with pneumatically actuated Ball / Plug valves. A sequence timer controls operation of these valves. Desiccant used is Activated Alumina and it dries the air up to (-) 400 C Dew point.
