The system is employed for evaporation of water ; crystallization /separation of dissolved inorganic salts like Sodium Sulphate / Sodium Chloride / Manganese Sulphate etc.and drying of these solids. Additionally water is recovered making this system also a Zero Discharge System.
FILTRATION STAGE : Pre filtration of effluent stream to remove suspended solids. Pressure leaf filters ( PLF/CD ) with mechanised discharge are employed for this operation.
EVAPORATION STAGE : Multiple Effects Evaporator are used to get the required final concentration of liquid stream. Steam economy of high order is achieved because of use of Multiple Effect Evaporatos. Thermo Compressor is also employed to get additional steam economy. TDBD Centrifuge machine is mainly used in chemical industries where solid – liquid separation has to take place. It is top loaded, bottom discharged and driven from top. It is run by fluid coupling which gives good performance of the machine when compared with ordinary mechanical clutch pulley arrangement.
The material/ products are loaded from the top into the basket and after finishing the process the product are removed by scraping, the material are discharged from the bottom and it is then transferred to required place. Due to centrifugal effect the solid – liquid separation takes place in the machine.
When this machine is compared with normal top loaded, top unloaded, bottom driven TDBD is more efficient and less time consuming and hence the production rate increases.
TDBD machine can be used in industries where solid – liquid separation has to take place and also where material handing is difficult by using normal Centrifuge machine.

Ribbon blenders consist of a U-shaped horizontal trough and a specially designed and fabricated double helical ribbon shaft rotating within. A ribbon agitator consists of a set of inner and outer helical ribbons. The outer ribbons move the material from the ends to the center while the inner ribbons move the material from the center to ends. This counter-current action causes good blending. The ribbons rotate at approximately 100 meters per minute and move the materials both radially and laterally to insure thorough blends in short cycle times. Ribbon agitators are used for blends that will be between 40% and 100% of the rated capacity of the blender. The paddles are positioned to move materials in opposing lateral directions and radially. The paddle design is normally applied where friable materials are being blended and when batches as small as 25% of the total capacity are going to be mixed.
