The jatropha species are a rich source of oil with. Curcas maximum (48.5%).The kernel give 46.58 %oil % is white in colour.Oil obtained from decorticated seeds by expression ir solvent extraction is known as ‘Curcas Oil’ in trade. Fresh oil is odourless & colourless . It grows a pale brownish yellow & give a disagreeable odour on standing ; low viscosity ; semidrying .
