Electrical charges can form on the surface of plastic products during mold release, the winding of film and transportation of components. The accumulation of this surface charge can have serious consequences. Electro static discharge can cause fire or explosions and damage to sensitive electrical components. It can increase problems with the handling of goods and cause unattractive dust buildup on clear plastic articles.
