Use: This apparatus is used for the determination of fraass breaking point of solid and semisolid bitumen.
Description: The Unit consists of mould press, bending apparatus (made of brass as per required / specified dimensions), plaque (as per required / specified dimensions), cooling apparatus (made of glass), digital temp indicator with PT100 sensor, and plate and stand.
Fraass breaking point is the temperature at which bitumen first becomes brittle as indicated by the appearance of cracks when a thin film of the bitumen on a metal plaque is cooled & flexed in accordance with the specified conditions.
