protected porous substrates absorb moisture and water. The absorbed
water slowly dissipates into the surrounding areas because of capillary
action& permeation. This phenomenon exhibits itself in the form of
dampness in the walls, blisters and bubbles in the interior coating.
There is also invisible problem associated with water ingress into the
concrete. Steel when get corroded, increases its volume by almost
double, this phenomenon apart from reducing the structural strength of
the building leads to further cracks and fissures in the columns and
beams accelerating the deterioration of the building.

from the concrete and plaster creating further micro pores and water
