Our aftercoolers are effective heat exchangers used for cooling the discharge from a compressor. Using either air-cooled or water-cooled mechanism, it is an effective means of removing moisture from compressed air. By condensing the water vapor into liquid form, aftercoolres control the amount of water vapor in a compressed air system. Liquid water can cause significant damage to the equipment that uses compressed air in a distribution or process manufacturing system. An aftercooler plays vital role for proper functioning of pneumatic or air handling devices which are part of process manufacturing systems. A compressor aftercooler may be either a stand-alone unit located downstream of the compressor or integrated into the compressor itself. Fitted into a pipeline, water-cooled heat exchangers use a moisture separator and drain valve for extracting the water from the compressed air while moving through the pipe. Water cooled After cooler with Moisture Separator is a Shell and Tube type Heat Exchanger which reduces the temperature of compressed Air and as a result Moisture from the Compressed Air is Separated. Cooling is done by circulating water from the opposite side of the Compressed Air inlet in Aftercooler. The Aftercooler is designed in such a way that the Cooling Water passes through the Shell in turbulent flow, resulting maximum heat dissipation from the Compressed Air and hence more quantity of Moisture is separated in Moisture Separator. Watercooled Aftercooler with Moisture Separator from 10 CFM to 1000 CFM and working Pressure from 150 PSIG to 1000 PSIG are available.

Mellcon compressed air aftercoolers are high performance shell and tube heat exchangers coolers connected to a moisture separator and a drain trap. All after coolers are individually stage wise inspected as per IS-2825/ASME/TEMA standards. The tubes used are high quality copper / cupro nickel/SS/ carbon steel as per user's requirement. All flanges and tube sheets conform to ANSI B 16.5 standards. The capacity of the after coolers are ranging from 10 CFM to 10,000 CFM working pressure up to 150 kg/cm (g) which will be ready for installation with air/gas inlet/outlets and water inlet/outlet nozzles.
