Industrial multigrade filter / side stream filter is a deep bed filter consisting essentially of large grain media, such that large particles of suspended matter can readily penetrate the bed. Added to this coarse, media is a quantity of fine media of such a size that it can be accommodated within the coarse grains. The arrangement produces a filter bed with adequate pore dimensions for penetration of larger suspended particles. Dispersal of fine media throughout the bed also produces zones throughout the bed, which are conductive to flocculation of smaller particles and their retention.

Our pressure sand filters are precisely used for the
removal of suspended solids & turbidity. These are extremely robust method
of removing suspended solids from water. The filtration medium consists of multiple
layer of sand having different sizes & specific gravity. We can offer sand
filters in various sizes and material apart from hand operated or fully
automatically. This water treatment plant is used to generate the required
operating pressure in it. The raw water is passed through sand filter at a
pressure of 3.5 kg / cm2 to reduce the suspended solids present in the raw
water.
Our pressure sand filters have the ability of removing up to 30 to 50 micron of
suspended solids to less then 5 ppm. The filter should be washed daily with raw
water for 20 to 30 minutes. Moreover, the cartridge filter is used for the

Working Principle

Sand and activated carbon filter have a properly designed system, either for gravity feed or pumped feed, depending on the client need. Gravity fed systems are large and bulky but result in better quality of treated waste water. These filters are made of MS plates coated with epoxy or FRP using header and lateral distribution arrangements provided with special grade media for removal of suspended solids, color and reduce odour, taste that maybe present in treated Wastewater.
