It is an anchored float moored in water to mark a location, warn of danger, or indicate a navigational channel. Buoys are equipped with apparatus for providing distinctive sounds, lights, radio beacons and reflectors.
ANST designs and manufactures world-class Steel Mooring Buoys fitted with marine grade rubber fenders. The body is divided into 4 water tight compartments, with 6 mm thick bulkheads, each compartment having its own manhole at the top. The buoy body is grit blasted and painted with epoxy paint system of required colour. All four compartments are tested to 0.5 kg./ cm² pressure to detect any leak before painting.
